Fairness built in: our 2025 Impact Report
What does a fairer future actually look like? For us, it’s not about grand corporate gestures. It’s about the real, everyday stuff. Like helping someone get back online and land a job. Giving phones a second life and keeping them in use for longer, rather than forgotten in drawers or ending up as e-waste. Making sure you always get proper value for money, and giving you a genuine say in how things are run around here.
At giffgaff, we’ve always believed fairness should be baked right into the way we work, not just bolted on as an afterthought. And 2025 was a big one. Not only did we launch full fibre broadband, but we also recertified as a B Corp with an improved score of 97.6 (hooray!).
Here’s a quick look at what we achieved together last year.
The big wins: 2025 at a glance
Refurb is the word: A massive 66% of all phones we sold were refurbished, helping more people grab affordable tech while giving the planet a breather.
Ditching the plastic: We saw a 71% growth in eSIM adoption, making it easier than ever to get connected without the plastic waste.
Lightening our footprint: We cut our greenhouse gas emissions by 9% compared to 2024 (and by 13% compared to our 2020 baseline).
Loving our landscapes: We invested £250,000 into restoring the gorgeous Peak District National Park as part of our Plan for Nature.
Big impact with the Big Issue: Together, we got 687 refurbished phones into the hands of vendors and job seekers, alongside running almost 3,000 coaching sessions to help people build up their digital and financial confidence.
No sneaky bills: Around 17,000 members a month moved to a cheaper plan after opening a Best Plan Advice email, saving our community an estimated £74,000 every single month.
Sharing the love: Our wonderful members donated over £64,000 to charity through giffgaff Payback.
Getting stuck in: The giffgaff team clocked up a massive 1,636 hours of volunteering in local communities.
